Now we are settled back into the work routine, it’s time to catch up on things such as first aid competencies. You can ensure your company continues to meet best practice by running an on site, 3 hour HSE approved annual skills update course for your first aiders.
While not mandatory, the HSE strongly recommends that all workplace qualified first aiders should undertake an annual (3 hour minimum) refresher course. Studies have shown that skill fade is a big problem amongst first aiders. So while your first aiders qualifications may still be in date, their competency may not.
