New 1 day Emergency First Aid for Schools Course.
The course syllabus has been updated to reflect the changes in the First Aid at Work Regulations and meets the requirements of the HSE's Emergency First Aid in the Workplace Course. The course covers both Adult Emergency First Aid and childhood injuries and medical conditions.
Course details - The duration is 6 hours although the exact timings can be altered to meet the Schools timetable. The course is normally run at the clients venue for up to 14 students although with the use of an additional instructor we can accommodate larger classes.
Anaphylaxis Awareness Course for School Staff.
This course focuses on the causes and consequences of a person suffering a serious allergic reaction and includes the use of the EpiPen and Anapen. If required, we can also include practical training in resuscitation of adults / children.
Course details - The course duration is normally 3 - 4 hours depending on the clients exact requirements. The course is normally run at the clients venue for up to 12 students although with the use of an additional instructor we can accommodate larger classes. Certification - Students who complete the course receive a certificate of attendance.
Sports First Aid for Schools
In response to requests from a number of our clients, we have now developed a range of short Sports First Aid courses for schools' staff. The courses are tailored to meet the exact requirements of the school concerned and cover basic First Aid for both minor and more serious sporting injuries.
Course Details - These courses normally run for between 3 - 4 hours depending on the client's exact requirements although we do run full 1 day courses where required. Courses are normally run at the client's venue for up to 12 students although with the use of an additional instructor we can accomodate larger classes.
Certification - Students who complete a Sports First Aid course receive a certificate of attendance.
